Respite
The Haven is a purpose built bungalow on a quiet road in Rowley Regis offering respite services for adults with learning and physical disabilities. The building is light and airy and service users can enjoy spending time in the large private patio.
Staying at The Haven
Short and long stays are available at The Haven, subject to availability. We know that sometimes coming to a new place may be stressful so we offer a relaxed meet and greet procedure, where new service users can visit The Haven for lunch or dinner to get a feel for the place and meet some of the friendly staff team. Specialist equipment for people with additional mobility needs is available, service users are also encouraged to bring along any items or equipment that may make their stay more comfortable.
Arranging your stay
If you feel The Haven could be the right service for yourself or your loved one, the management team will undertake an initial assessment either at The Haven or at your own home. During this assessment, the team will gather information to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Bookings can be made via telephone on 0121 559 5717. The Haven staff are highly trained and can support individuals with needs such as PEG feeds, rescue medication and colostomy bags. Transport may be available during respite stays, subject to availability and additional cost.
Day Care during respite
Service users can spend their respite break however they wish, whether it's relaxing on the patio or participating in activities with other service users. The Haven offers a range of in-house activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, karaoke and ball games. Service users are also encouraged to access the community if they wish - The Haven is ideally located near to Rowley Regis train station, giving access to both Birmingham City Centre and Worcester for outdoor activities, visiting pubs and cafés or shopping. Some activities, such as visiting the Black Country Living Museum may incur additional costs.
